Hi, I’ve read a lot of threads over the past few years but never posted before, but mumsnet is what made me realise I was being abused by my ex..

Basically long story short, he was mostly emotionally but also physically abusive on a couple of occasions. It all came to a head last September on our anniversary when he attacked me and so I moved on. Silly me took him back a couple of months later after many false promises, but it didn’t change so I have now cut all contact.

Having recently been awarded child support , his sister (who we communicate through) has said he now has to fill in a form and send it back before I can start receiving any money... so my question is, is this true? Doesn’t he just have to set up a standing order? Don’t want this to sound like a silly question! Thanks for your time Smile x

I think you should ring CMS for more clarification. I'm not familiar with the filling a form side of things as I went for the collect and pay option.
