I just thought I'd put this up in case it helps anyone.
In light of the recent 'common assault' charge over a football fan pushing a footballer Chris smalling the other day, I was surprised to see that pushing someone was able to be a chargeable offence. reading up about it, they don't even have to physically hit you, just threatening to attack you or intend to cause fear of attack is enough.
If anyone threatens you physically, do not be scared to call the police. Here is more info.
