Online dating

Ok this is the third time this has happened to me with online dating. I get men saying stuff like "if you're the person in the photo I'm Mickey Mouse". I am the person in the photo and there is about 5 of them I'm early 40s overweight (I've included a full length one), actually I've got quite a fat square shaped face so I think face only makes me look even fatter. I suppose attractive as I get Botox and many other treatments as I work in the beauty industry. I'm not fake typical profile pic attractive I see very attractive women on male friends tinder. What would make a man think that. I'm well off and definitely not hinting towards money, I don't understand why I'm giving off that vibe? Anyone else had this?

Does your profile say much about you? Do you talk about your likes etc and do they sound like you look iyswim? Eg if you say you’re all about country walks with the dog and real ale but your pics look more ‘shopping and wine bar’ it might look like the pics are not you? Just a thought.

@RagingWhoreBag Good point, I think you're right.

I think that's quite insulting. In my limited experience of OLD I found it to be a place where guys seem to think they can be nasty and very negative towards you, if they're feeling that way. I am 5'7, size 10, slim build and very dark hair. I had a couple of pictures on showing me in various situations - done up one, out on the moors one and one an every day one. A few guys asked for full length pics of me - when I asked why they said they wanted to see how fit my body was and if I was really a size 10! I would either ask them outright what they mean or simply block them - you don't need that negativity! Another favourite comment was asking me if I'd used filters - at the time I had no idea that you could do stuff to your pics! I've never been into that bunny ears thing that you see!
I was thinking about going back OLD but I'm not sure I can cope with the sleaziness. And - I'm 43 and the amount of guys around my age who want a younger woman - it really is a thing!

@Happyinheels Yes I get the same nonsense. I'm around the same age and wonder if it worth the hassle.

Dolly2007 the irony was in the guys that were saying these things were no George Clooney! Which makes me sound like an absolute cow but you know what I mean.

I've not experienced this but my OLD profile states that I'm old and fat and I've not found it to be any barrier to finding dates!
