Can any help, I’m new to Mumsnet.
I’m going through a very costly divorce. I work part time and have 2 teenage children.
My question is how do people fund huge solicitor fees (I’ve also had to appoint specialists as my ex is being deceitful and trying to hold back on his assets/pensions)?
So far I’ve used savings and my salary. I have no right to legal aid.
The solicitor suggested a Novitas loan-the company pay the solicitors bills and I then settle the loan after I receive my settlement. However this is about 18% interest!!
I cant pay the solicitor by credit card.
ANy wise words please?
Thanks in advance.
