How do you delete Facebook/Instagram?

I tried to do this with Facebook, until I learnt you can't delete it you can only deactivate it 😤

Deactivate account, delete app from phone.

You can delete it. You have to check delete account and it takes a month or so for Facebook to delete it permanently. I don’t know about Instagram though.

I think that when you delete FB / Insta, it’s gone but they still own the data & the right to do what they want with it.

I've recently done it, google "how to permanently delete account" that usually gives a link. They will suggest you just deactivate but you can definitely delete.
