How do you know if your sex life is boring?????

Been with Dh for a long long time, always had a good sexlife, and 99.9999% of the time always orgasm.

Its very very rare for me not too TBH.

We recently had a baby and out sex life has improved alot since he arrived, Dh can't believe his luck because its more often now then ever before.

But I just feel a bit bored with it and can't work out why.

Is it possible to be bored with sex if you always feel "satified" after?

With a new baby I'm not sure I have the energy to start making changes to it all, especially when it works so well!

BTW I'm not troll, journo looking for stories or spotty teenage youth. I'm just a puzzled Mner and have been for over 4yrs.

Of course it's possible - orgasm is, at the end of the day, aphysical response. It sounds like you're lacking a bit of excitement and emotional involvement in the whole thing - just going through the motions as it were.

Have you got any ideas about how it could improve for you?

Havne;t really considered anything TBH kerry.

what we do works well, it just a bit boring and "samey" all the time.

In answer to the question:

your neighbours stop watching

Whooosh · 04/07/2007 20:11

Would sooner orgasm and be bored than try bloomin' hard, all that effort and for now't personally..
If it ain't broke and all that.

Give it a bit of time and you may have the energy to try something different.

MrsBigD · 04/07/2007 20:12

your sexlife has actually improved since baby??? What's your secret? I'm too shattered most of the time and kids are 2.9 and 5.5.

I'm sure my dh would settle for 'boring' sex life over once a month

No suggestions really on how to improve it. there are sex games 'out there' like the one where each of you takes a card per 'session' and follow the instructions. Quite hilarious some of them, we just haven't gotten round to actually follow them...

NotQuiteCockney · 04/07/2007 20:12

If you're bored, talk to your partner and try something different. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, etc etc.

Presumably you're not just generally bored, I bet you have specific things you want to try.

IsItBoringForHimToo · 04/07/2007 20:13

I've mentioned it in casual way, but not directly.

sorry for my answer

NotQuiteCockney · 04/07/2007 20:15

Discuss it outside the bedroom, and reasonably casually I think. Or you could introduce porn (text, video, pictures) that interested you?

I don't think one's sex life can be boring in itself - but it can bore one or both people involved, in which case, it's worth changing things a bit.

IsItBoringForHimToo · 04/07/2007 20:21

MrsBigD, I say its improved but its still the same IYSWIM.
The frequency has improved which DH is very happy about.

I'm knackered anyway so an hour left sleep won't make much difference.

an hour less sleep doesn't make a difference? I treasure every minute!

If you want to talk to him about it just keep it casual and ask him whether he's happy with your sex life. See how he reacts, he might say 'yes, but...' and then you've got an opening iykwim

IsItBoringForHimToo · 04/07/2007 20:29

I think maybe now its turned into a quality Vs quanity thing.

before DS it was so much less that I don't think this bored thing would have cross my mind. Now its LOTS more, still have the same result but because its so often its less exciting IYSWIM.

butI don't really want to go back to the once amonth way.

contradicted myself a abit her havn't I?/

To knackered to change it but still suffer the hour less sleep.

Maybe if we change it it will only take 15 minutes
