Partner has got a contact on his phone, no number but a link in the email it reads:

sale-(lots of numbers)-@craigslist.org

Clicked on it and says not found. I know I need to ask him about it but why would he have that saved in his phone? Is it dodgy? Am I being paranoid? Could it be innocent?

Has he sold or bought anything on Craigslist? If it's an iPhone it may have automatically saved the contact.

Not that I’m aware of. He hasn’t saved it under a particular name either, just two inconspicuous words which is quite confusing. Tbh I immediately thought the worst. Do people sell a lot on there? I feel awful as I thought hookups when I saw the word Craigslist. Thank you for responding.

It certainly started as a buy and sell site like gumtree or eBay. I'm not sure it caught on as much here and certainly is used for hookups too but I wouldn't automatically assume a hook up without further evidence or suspicions

Craigslist is mostly for selling and buying stuff. You can meet people via the site as well, but I don't think it's the main purpose. Maybe he just saw something he wanted and contacted them, but didn't get it so you didn't know. Just go to the site and have a browse - there is lots for sale.

There's an underlying reason you're going through his contacts and freaking out at them, I presume, op? Where is this coming from?

Im pretty sure they stopped the dating/hookup part of the site awhile ago, but it could have started again
