How far has the lie gone

Interesting to read so many men will tell women they are "separated" from their wives When they are actually still married and then the lies and games they play to keep up the lie.

Was interested to know, either husband or partner. What stories or lies you have told by them to only find out the truth.

Mine was - separated, horrific marriage with her, wouldn't touch her. He loved me, wanted me to just keep with him until it was fully divorced. Didn't want to cause her more pain for the sake of their child. Would lie about how bad she made his life.

Truth - happily married, had affairs previously. Used all the same lines.

I think opportunistic men will spin any old shit for sex. OLD has made it so easy for them.

Sorry to hear what you went through OP Flowers

Thank you @NameChangeNugget I didn't realise so many men told the same lie.

My ex told the OW that we weren't married (10 years) and that I had just been a GF for about 6 months and was in the process of moving back to the states, which is why she couldn't stay over at his house.

Ex even went so far as to lie to her parents and sisters telling them he wasn't married after I had met up with OW's husband and gave him a copy of my divorce petition. He continued trying to convince OW and her family that I had faked the document but they finally figured out he was lying after the court removed him from the house for 12 months and he was having to go to divorce hearings.

It's amazing the lies he told such as I was an alcoholic because nobody had ever seen me drink anything but Diet Coke so that meant I must have been a closet drinker.

The OW left her husband and DD's after he told her that I had left for the states and the house would be ready for her in a few days. She walked out on a Friday and I had only found out hours earlier about the affair and he was trying to get me to move out that night into a bed sit he found me. When I refused she ended up on a friends sofa and had already left her family when she finally found out that he was a big fat liar but her husband refused to let her come back home :)

They are still together and she is frequently seen in her PJ's at 3 AM at his elderly parents house trying to find him as he doesn't take her calls or go home and is usually found in a hotel room having "time to himself" :)

@callkiki WOW! There are no other words than WOW!

What happened when you found out?

How many lies did he tell there, when all he had to do was keep it in his pants.

They'll never be happy together. All those lies easily rolled off his tongue.

You ok now?

I was done the second I found out about the affair and was lucky to have gone to my best friends who's partner works for Citizen Advice and got a crash course in my rights and that he couldn't make me move so I ruined his brilliant plan.

The sad thing is that I thought we were happy and we never fought and had just come back from a romantic holiday. I don't think he planned on her really leaving her husband and young daughters so really was thrown in the deep end when she showed up at his parents house with her luggage and my stepdaughter showed up and when she asked the woman who she was she tried to hug her and said she was so happy to meet her and that she was her dad's girlfriend....

SD asked how he could have a girlfriend when he had a wife....and it all came out and that's how I found out when SD called me saying she was heartbroken I was moving to the states and hadn't told her about breaking up with her dad :(

Talk about a mess and then Ex showed and blamed SD for ruining his marriage and 2 years on they don't speak and even her grandparents blamed her and they told her that she was forbidden to have contact with me and she was 26 at the time!

Ex had OW stashed at his parents house 5 blocks away and that's when he came home and tried to get me to move out as his poor GF had no place to go!

Long story short, he is now flirting with women on Facebook, goes missing for days, had to pay for his divorce, her divorce, child support for her 2 kids she abandoned, and a cash settlement and is now deep in debt. She walked out with just the clothes in her luggage based on lies and wasn't entitled to any equity in their house or assets and because Ex assaulted me after I refused to move, she isn't allowed to visit her kids if he is present and she refuses to see them without him, the "love of her life"...what a prince.

I'm happy, moved on, new life, mortgage free house and an amazing man that loves and supports me 100% in making my new life.

Oh, best thing ever, I got my lovely stepdaughter in the divorce and she has asked me to walk her down the isle next year :)

What an awful man, at what point do they think they can get away with such lies. Unbelievable the length they go to.

Such a lovely ending to that, really made me smile at the thought there is hope out there of a man that doesn't lie.

Good for you getting all you deserved, you did nothing wrong. He should be ashamed of himself.

Congrats on her wedding such an honour for you to walk her down the aisle.
