Partner watching too much tv

Boyfriend would rather watch tv shows for a few hours than chat with me for a half an hour after work. He does not understand that I want quality time with him, and that I'm not asking him to go out and take me places but all I want is some good old proper conversation. Anyone able to relate?

Yes my partner is the same sometimes but with games. He wants me to give him subjects I want to discuss but I just want a free flowing, relaxed chat lol. You need to tell him how important it is to you and that it's part of a relationship. Has he always been like this or just recently?
