The domestic abuse bill is up for debate and hopefully change.

EConomic Abuse is to be recognised as abuse in its own right.

This is something I have been subject to for the last four years and during my marriage

Given an allowance
Had credit cards cut up - only x had these
No access to money during divorce other than kids savings and what x gave me til got breast cancer payout
Issued dividends in my name but took proceeds - I had to pay tax bill
Then took directors loan instead.
Claimed company was going down the pan to get family home sold
Claimed couldn’t afford school fees every term
GAve misleading info to CMS so my payments were minimal - paid weekly rather than monthly
Took it to tribunal and instigated court hearing.
Still claims cannot afford school fees despite Ds being suicidal at prospect of leaving school.
Hasn’t contributed to the last 18 months of fees - I’ve paid these out of housing allowance.
Ignores my communication asking for help even though he knows in not helping could have significant consequences for kids

That’s terrible. Probably the worst form of abuse there is because it’s impossible to leave

That's awful green beret, and whilst I welcome the changes to the law it is going to be so difficult to prove😟

greenberet · 24/01/2019 19:36

Sadly Flippingflipflaps I can prove it all!
