Why do I feel resentful towards my partner?

We have been together for 2 years but I've never fallen in love with her. We were mates before we started dating, we're also neighbors. Last year I met a woman & started dating her behind my partner's back, I fell in love. She found out about my partner & asked me to finish it off before she could continue with me. I chose to stay with my partner but now I resent her. What can I do?

Leave her? This seems the obvious answer. I can’t see why you’d stay with someone you resent. It’s not helpful for you, or your kids (if you have any)

You know what to do. You're also being very unfair to your partner. You don't want her but won't free her to find someone who does.

Why on earth are you staying in a relationship with someone who you don't love and who you resent? The fact that you decided to stick with this relationship rather than end it and be with the woman you claim to have fallen in love with means you are getting something out of this but it doesn't sound like it's anything positive.
Do the right thing and end it. Let her get on with her life and you can get on with yours.

Oh and there's NEVER a good reason to cheat on your partner, that's just low shitty behaviour. If you find yourself with your head turned again in future do your partner a favour and have the balls to end things with them before you go sticking your dick in someone else. It's common courtesy.
