It's been one week since I ended a six month relationship. It wasn't working and had become hard work, I felt that he wasn't as committed to 'us' as much as I was.

We've broken up in the past and (I've) started things back up again. This time I said I definitely wouldn't and that it was completely over. So today, what did I do? I've messaged him telling him that I miss him. He's going to think I'm pathetic and embarrassing, isn't he? Fuck.

He won't think that. Just don't text him again

I find deleting their number and from everything stops you being able to contact him in weak moments.

You can miss someone but that doesn't mean you want to start it back up.

Is this the guy who wouldn't invite you to a party with his mates and it was all on his terms when he saw you as he was always busy?

hellsbellsmelons · 07/01/2019 13:25

Desperate maybe but not those things.
WHY????????
Why didn't you block and delete?

Januarybringstheblues · 07/01/2019 13:28

No, I think you're confusing me with someone else Sparkly.

I'm impatiently waiting for him to reply now even though he's at work and probably won't see his phone until much later on today. I suppose I just want to know whether he misses me too. It's like I need validation.

I've recently ended a 19 month relationship. It simply wasn't working. Yes I miss him, but know it was the right thing to do.

Don't waste your life pining for someone who wasn't that into you.

I think you need to think about what YoU want and what works for YOU than give him all of this headspace. I assume you finished things because it wasn’t working for you. So why do you now want to start things up again? What would be different.

Talk to a friend. Write emails but don’t send them. Break the habit. It will get easier but not if you keep picking at the scab.
