Living with Exp.

No kids together but I have kids.
We have a joint ESA claim as a couple which means on top of my existing claim we get an extra £50 a week as a couple.

We can't exactly save that as DP needs to eat

But she can't get a job to earn the money to leave as it will effect my claim and also trigger a change to Universal Credit.

I can't do it anymore. I'm going insane.
She acts like we are still together.

If I kick her out she will have no where to go. No friends. She has her mum but is pretty estranged and wouldn't ask her for anything.

I'm getting resentful and annoyed at everything now.

She wants to tag along with everything and I need space.

The only option would be her going to a hostel and she has mental health issues. I feel so guilty

From a person who has mental health myself, I personally would u sweat and where you're coming from. There are 2 options which I have come up with being, are you SURE you two are done? And you can't fix what's been broken? If you can then fix it, you only have one life and you should just do it! If not then I suggest, sit her down, calmly explain to her that you guys are over and you want to be friends and JUST friends. Tell her that you want more space and just want to do some things on your own and that you can see each other at home etc.

I suggest that you just be straight with her. Good luck!

She knows we are just friends. But she still wants to come everywhere with me and assumes we are to do everything together.

We even share a bed as there is no where else to sleep

So what is the housing situation?
Do you work?
Stop sharing a bed.
Do you have a couch?
You could request for a blow up mattress on a local fb page.
Or look on freecycle for a sofa bed or something similar.
When she wants to tag along just say no.
We are not together and I need to this on my own.
I do not want you to come with me.
Practice in the mirror first if you need to but be more assertive on this.
You really need to work out housing etc....
Have a chat with Shelter and see what they advise.
Also she needs to talk to CAB.
You can't continue like this.
But you need to make steps to get it sorted.
It won't just magically sort itself out!
