It's that time of year again, time for the New Year meet up and I'm dreading it ..I can feel my anxiety ramping up already, particularly because last time we spoke one member was extremely dismissive of what is a very real on going worry for us. These meetings either go fairly well, or they go terrifically badly and I am the recipient of a thousand digs..Some subtle some downright cruel. I'm tired and I'm angry and honestly I'm dreading it. I'd rather be anywhere else. How do you cope? Any strategies for surviving in one piece gratefully received.

Any chance you could just not go?

Not unless I'm very ill I'm afraid.

I’d bail. Stuff that for a New Years!

Of COURSE you don't have to go. You are a grown woman who can make her own decisions. Why subject yourself to this bullshit?
