Condom in wallet

Asking for a friend. She found a condom in her husband's wallet but she has had the coil fitted for well over a year. It was in with a picture of her and the children. Whenever they used condoms if they were going away he always put them in a wash bag. She's upset over this but there doesn't seem to be any other suspicious activity. Maybe an opportunist? Your thoughts please mumsnetters.

Looking for an opportunity.

She needs to tell him she found it and ask him why it is in there.

I agree. He wants to be prepared in case an opportunity arises. My STBXH was carrying condoms throughout the first year of our older child's life. When eventually confronted he had no real excuse and said that it was stupid of him. Three years later after our younger child was born he ended up going to swingers clubs.
Unfortunately, your friend's husband carrying condom in his wallet is a very bad sign even if he hasn't cheated yet.
