I know of 4 affairs found out because of texting. One had been going on for 5 yrs and she was a really good mate.I felt betrayed aswell.

I had dinner with a friend last night who found out her live in partner was married - his "working away' periods were went he back to his wife - by reading a text his WIFE had sent him asking him to pick up milk/dry cleaning or something 'on his way home'.

Lo and behold, they both do the same job and a couple of years later meet up at a professional do. Everyone goes out to dinner and she sits next to him and he is charming and handsome and very flattering and after a couple of glasses of wine she starts wondering if she should give him a second chance - till loverboy goes to the loo and leaves his phone by his plate.

She has a quick shifty at his texts and yep, two lots, one lot from the latest girlfriend waiting for him 'at home' and another from his wife saying that she is missing him......

Texts! Who'd be without them?

ggg-tell her to go for it and see how he copes with three!

BandofMuggles · 27/06/2007 08:44

OMG, that's the sort of stuff you see in a cheesy comedy film

ggglimpopo · 27/06/2007 08:47

She was very funny about reading his texts. She said over and over "I'm not like that at all, I never look at phones, I just couldn't resist it, but really I am not normally a snooper and I normally never look at phones because I am not like that at all etc etc etc..."

my MIL was having an affair and one day her phone beeped about 6 times while she was in the bathroom. It killed me not to have a look! Still regret not looking!

GGG, I know someone like that too, who is pretty close to us. I reckon there's alot of them out there!

BTW, I always keep my phone with me etc, but I'm not having an 'affair'. I just like to get my messages as soon as they come in! i get as as excited as when I get post!!
And I'd keep it handy if I was out with dh, incase there was a prob with the kids (not that we ever go out together!)

I'd be useless.
No phone and have never texted in me life.
Life complicated enough.

My uncle got caught, not by text but by...

Having a photo of his squeeze face up, at the top of his briefcase. "My phone's in my briefcase dear, get it for me, please....oh bollocks!"

Silly sod.
