Do you all eat together everyday?

Just wondering what other families do? I finish work at 3.30 pick the children up dd 11 and ds9. Oh is home any time between 5.30 and 7. I try and wait for him so we can all eat together unless the children have activities that day, oh says we should eat without him but I'd rather we ate together.

We try to have dinner (tea) together most days. I'm the same as you picking DD up & getting home before DH but he is usually home 5/5.15 so we have tea when he gets back. He likes eating with DD because she'll talk about her day before she's too tired & grumpy.

Sometimes when do running late like today , I cook and eat with DC but save DPS in microwave!

Almost never.

We all get in at different times and all want to eat when we come in.

Every so often we make the effort to eat together at the weekend but that’s maybe monthly or less.

We eat breakfast & dinner together unless someone is away

There's only me and DP but we were both brought up in families who are together and that's what we still do. Every day unless one of us is working late.

No. I eat with my partner when the kids are in bed because otherwise I find it impossible to actually eat anything. Now and again we will all sit together, but rarely.

The dc and I are home from the school run at 3.30. They are usually really hungry so I make their dinner as soon as they get home. They eat between 4-4.30pm. My oh is home after 6...he doesn't like to eat dinner too early, neither do I, so we eat at about 8.30 once the kids are in bed.

We eat together on a weekend at lunchtime.

We eat together about 5:30 - 6. I understand how hard it can be though if one person doesn't get home until nearer 7

We eat aroubd 5 usually, activities allowing, tonight was more like 6. Anyone who’s not there gets theirs warmed up.

Yes and always have. Only exception is when ds14 has football practice but he gets in at 8.30 so we're usually finishing off and overlap.

We work from home so we all eat together at about 6. We mostly cook from scratch and all really enjoy our food. Kids are mostly grown up now, only one left at home, but we love it when they come home and the gang are all back around the table together.

We eat at around 7.30 - 8. Dh gets home around 7.

Most days we all eat together before 6pm, but sometimes one of us is late in so then just one of us with the kids. Took a while to get used to eating early, but think I sleep better for it. We all eat breakfast together in the week.

Almost every day. On swimming lesson day I feed the kids at 5/5.30 and we eat at 8. Otherwise we eat altogether at 6/6.30.

Dh home too late most days but we all eat together at weekends . We always ate as a family when I was growing up and it just seems the normal thing to do for our family now.

Usually the four of us sit down together at the table for our evening meal. Can't truthfully say every day because DH can't always be here (antisocial shifts) but I eat with the DC every evening and always have.

Yes, we always eat together unless one of us is working away. I have fairly flexible hours and my dh is self employed. We regularly have to work in the evenings after the dc go to bed, but we’re almost always home to have dinner, do bath and bedtime together. That’s the trade off for sometimes working otherwise long hours.
