Just wondering if you consider this a good or bad sign of interest? I don’t know whether it’s good.. ie last person he thinks about before sleep or bad sign..ie bored, with nothing better to do ??this is a question from somebody who is not sure if closemale friend is romantically interested or not. It’s nightly and always within a reasonable hour... half hour before sleep. Some early morning texts also.. always about general chitchat or following from one to one chat during the day..thanks

In a relationship I really like the first thing/last thing texting, it shows that the other person is on your mind when you go to sleep and wake up. But not as an expectation all of the time, it’s just nice when it happens. Obviously when you don’t live together, but when you do and one of you is away it’s nice then too.

But on its own it’s a sign of nothing concrete. It could equally be a sign of interest or someone just being bored and liking to message a lot. If this guy isn’t asking your friend out on a date the messages are meaningless.
