How to get past awkward stage.

I've been talking to/seeing a guy for a month or two but it seems still very awkward. Eg it's weird planning things, messaging etc. I do really like him, but i can't stop it being awkward! And it doesn't seem to be going forward so to speak. He or I will just hint. Normally I'm quite upfront with these things.

I'm quite confident normally. Maybe he's not? Do i write it off now. Or are there ways we can get over this?

Is it awkward when you're with him or just when messaging?

Sorry for late reply. It's a sweet kind of awkward when with him. Like a butterflies kind of thing. But we hold hands and talk and stuff. It's just the messaging/arranging to see each other
