Update - found some shocking stuff

Further to my post yesterday, I’ve been tidying up today and found cannabis and a used condom amongst my husband’s things. I’ve also found some letters addressed to me that he’s hidden that reveal debts I had no idea about and that threaten the house.
I think this is now most definitely the end.

I’ve asked him to go for a few days so I can think. He tried to explain it away that he was embarrassed. I pointed out that putting our home at risk because of embarrassment is the most irresponsible thing I’ve ever heard. The cannabis was to help him sleep because he was so worried about the debt. Ridiculous. He’s known for over a year. FFS.

And what about the used condom, what was his excuse for that?

Oh Goodness you poor thing ! I agree with what others have said .. YOU NEED TO TELL, have you someone you trust & confide in ? You can not deal with this by yourself , you need someone to validate your feelings of shock & betrayal .
In the months to come I am convinced this awful scenario will be your saving grace .. this will be the beginning of something new & fabulous for you .Will it be easy & without tears? Probably not but it will definitely be worth it . Keep us posted
