Ex's friend on dating site

I was seeing a fairly manipulative and abusive man for a year. Moving on, I joined a dating site, where his best friend has started to message me and invited me out for a drink.

Isn't this weird?

i think its weird and wouldn't contact him - you don't want to get back in with that crowd even if he himself is a decent man. If you ended up in a relationship you would obviously have to see his best friend(your ex). Just block and ignore.
