Mums with cafcass experience?

Currently in a custody battle with my ex husband who left me and the kids for another woman in Jan 2018 and then came back in March and stole the children- took them from their school, Brownies, clubs and moved them to an unknown location into his new girlfriends 2 bed flat - got rehoused and applied for school places wrongly informing the council the family had moved there. They lost their places at their previous school because it is in demand and had a long waiting list. The judge has kept them with him until cafcass has completed the section 7 report as he made false allegations I am an unfit mum.
I see them every Saturday under court order 9 to 5 but he has them during the week.
What I would like to know is are there any mum's out there that have been in a similar situation and what was the outcome?
Does anyone have any advice or reassurance for me that I should get them back?
Has anyone out there lost a court custody battle against a selfish lying ex partner before?
Should I be worried?
Could cafcass suggest that the custody is shared 50/50? If this is the case I would need to move to be closer to them.
I'm basically so worried about this whole situation and need some kind of information or experience from anyone that has faced something similar.

Thanks

Email the school and ask for all school reports be sent to your address. This will give you any info that your dc aren't happy to show the courts . Ask school for an appointment with the Head Teacher and discuss your situation ASAP.
Ring the local council school application dept and ask why your dc were allowed to be moved without your consent.
Cafcass imo are rubbish and will listen to whoever speaks the loudest - ime.

If you don’t live close to each other they can’t suggest 50/50.

Different situation but my experience with CAFCASS make everything about your children.

How old are the children?

I am surprised he wasn't ordered to return them as acting unilaterally is usually frowned on.

Did you have an emergency hearing?
How far away did he move? I think it depends on the allegations and children's feelings & wishes.
