anyone out there a computer genius or mabey just knows how the internet works. I know a little ,but apparently I’m the crazy one. A month ago he got a text from a person, the area code was from another state. I glanced and saw this girl ( big boobs) and he said that his ex wife must of put his number in online and did this !! For a minute I thought it was true. Then It happened two more times, different days, different girls. He gave the same damn excuse. Then I opened up his junk email while I had his phone. I had to snoop! 1000s of emails from sites. There all so different. All girls. Young, in there 20s. I can’t say porn. It wasn’t just porn. Girls. Naked girls. He’s 46. His excuse is that he was on dating sites years ago and that’s how they got there and that his ex probably did it. Just like the text he was getting. I’m not a fricken idiot. Tell me I’m wrong or right, If you go on sites like porn or looking at these girls from every site known to man and you look or subscribe to it, it goes into your junk or spam. His is all in Junk. And what about the text?? His ex is not that board in life to be messing around online and put his number in! If you respond, Thank you. Need the truth! Thats all.

It could be innocent. My spam is full of people wanting to sell me viagra, Russian brides, that type of thing

SilverHairedCat · 12/10/2018 07:30

My spam is the same. It's come from signing up to job agencies recently believe it or not.

I'd be more concerned if it was his inbox.

Whattodowhattodoohmy · 12/10/2018 07:31

I get this all the time in my emails and I have absolutely no idea why it happens, it just happened all of a sudden and I’m the only one that uses my tablet/email address.

I could be entirely innocent.

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 12/10/2018 07:38

My spam box is full of this sort of stuff, in fact even the generic email address I look after at work is full of this crap!
So I wouldn't think that alone was anything to worry about.

Rhiannon13 · 12/10/2018 07:44

My spam box is regularly full of stuff like this too. I have no idea where it originates because I only ever do boring work stuff on my PC (apart from Mumsnet!).

apparently I’m the crazy one.. This worries me a bit though OP. If your DP said this in reaction to you questioning him about this, you could very well have something to worry about.

RebelRogue · 12/10/2018 07:47

No idea about the texts but my junk email is the same. Singles near you, viagra, russian brides, even half personalised emails with a link. I've never watched porn online or subscribed to a dating site.

EvaHarknessRose · 12/10/2018 07:52

Don’t worry about the spam, but texts or pictures popping up does not sound right (the spam filters should just send them to the spam box, I wouldn’t think many of the above pp’s get texts like that unsolicited?)

RedTartanLass · 12/10/2018 08:15

Listen to your gut instinct. It's rarely wrong.

Aus84 · 12/10/2018 08:40

My work email gets these, at least a dozen a day. I don't know about the text ones though.

Newerversion · 12/10/2018 09:48

I would concentrate on the texts here. The emails may well be unsolicited, but given that he is also receiving these texts I would need answers. Can you try googling one of the numbers?
