EX bastard husband has threatened me

Having gone through a horrific divorce and several court visits, my ex is now saying he will go back to court to reduce my maintenance as he "thinks" his overseas job will be coming to an end and he will no doubt get a pay decrease. Odd as he's never had a decrease in 28 years.

He threatens me constantly as he was the one who left me and went off with a younger model, had an unwanted baby and it's now all gone to shit, so he's a miserable bugger 100% of the time.

Has anyone else had maintenance reduced and if so, surely it has to go through court which will be mega bucks (I'm still paying off my divorce with a massive loan!)?

It worries me massively as I'll lose my house as I can't pay for the mortgage alone.

Any thoughts ? :(

That's awful op, what a nasty little man he is to make you worry so much.

He can of course go back to court to apply to reduce the maintenance. It will cost him some money to do it, but they will look at your circumstances, and his, afresh. He would have to prove that his salary had decreased significantly and that his circumstances were such that he could not pay. I know someone whose xh did this, and she ended up with more. I hope it proves to be an idle threat.
