Friends situation

My friend went on a few dates with a man and stayed over his house a few times. Shes decided she doesnt like him and has tried to break it off but he isnt really getting the hint (shes saying shes not ready to date but he is just saying they can take it slow, she then agrees with him) anyway she has decided to just start ignoring him and he calls her and texts her but she doesnt respond. She wont block him. Ive said she should tell him but be more direct, or should she just carry on ignoring him? I know people hate “ghosting” and I think ignoring him is just as bad or isnt it?

Well if he won't take no for an answer she doesn't have much choice !

Engaging with some people just gives them bate to continue a conversation and give reasons for continuing - ignoring prevents this from happening.

Why are you so bothered?

She should just message “I’m sorry this isn’t working for me, hope you find what your looking for” and then be done with it. Block if needed.

im not particularly bothered but she keeps sending me screen shots of his messages. feel abit bad for him tbh. i dont think shes been direct enough probably why he isnt getting the hint.

She's being cruel. She's not ready to date if she treats people like this.
"Hi Bob you're a great guy but I don't want to take this relationship further" is the text i send. People respect honesty. Tell her to act like a woman, not a teenager.
