When I got with my OH 2 years ago he was just finishing his music degree. He has never worked and it’s just completely draining me financially and emotionally. I want him to leave, he’s been staying at my house for a few months as he lives in a different city. But he wouldn’t have any money to get home and I feel bad about just leaving him on the streets. I just want to be able to buy new clothes and nice food for myself as menial as it sounds

He's not your responsibility. You have to end it. He's a grown up. He'll sort himself out. How much does be need to get home?

Explain that his half of living costs are £700 a month and ask him to pay up. If he can’t, lend him the money for a bus ticket and pack his bags.

Look if your paying for everything already and really want him gone, I'd pay for his transport home and be done!

Why has he never worked? Even if he is trying to break into the music scene he can still do cafe/bar type work surely? He is taking the piss so you need to tell him he either gets a job or he gets out your life.
