Hi just wondering what you would do in my situation I have been told by my male friend not to contact him, that he'd get in touch... he's going to a bad time at moment... but I see him online and chatting so what I do take from it? Thanks in advance

Sounds like he has a girlfriend and you’re messages are creating a nuisance for him. I wouldn’t bother observing his online behaviour, just block him

florenceheadache · 18/09/2018 16:47

Clearly he’s not interested in your friendship or support. Move on.

tsonlyme · 18/09/2018 16:52

Give him the space he’s requested. If he doesn’t return to you then it wasn’t meant to be whether that is s friendship/relationship/fellow fan of my little pony.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by tracking his online activity.

Aquamarine1029 · 18/09/2018 16:54

He doesn't want you in his life. That's what you take from it. I suggest you honour his request.

starofhope · 18/09/2018 16:54

I don't think it's another woman... but I could be wrong.... as you said he clearly doesn't want my support... do I tell him I'm done with us or do I just delete his number and move on? He has serious bouts of depression and I don't want to add to his pain...

YeTalkShiteHen · 18/09/2018 16:56

Another woman? Have you been seeing him as more than just a friend?

Either way, I think you have to respect his wishes. It’s a bit shit for you OP, but I don’t really see what else you can do.

florenceheadache · 18/09/2018 17:00

No need to discuss/message/say anything, just move on.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 18/09/2018 17:03

do I tell him I'm done with us...?

Sounds like he told you that he was done. Telling you not to contact him is pretty clear. The part about “don’t call us, we’ll call you” is meant to make it less harsh but just keeps you hanging on. Cut yourself loose.

magoria · 18/09/2018 17:08

He has told you not to contact him. Do just that.

Delete his number, block and move on.

Don't start trying to tell him you are done, he has already done that to you.

hellsbellsmelons · 18/09/2018 17:14

I would just reply..
No problem. I'm here if you need me but will respect your request for space.

I think there might be a woman on the scene as well, who is uncomfortable about your relationship.

starofhope · 18/09/2018 17:43

Yeah I'm guessing I'll just cut my losses and move on... when things are good he's the nicest sweetest person that can be... but when things get dark he's cruel and blunt... thanks for the help... I'm worth more regardless of what he's going true... cruel as that sounds...

florenceheadache · 18/09/2018 19:27

@starofhope it doesn’t sound cruel at all. You deserve better. No point in wasting time.
