How do you know it's over?

Just this. Yet another evening I'm sat upstairs crying whilst DH is downstairs because he 'can't deal with me like this'

I feel we never talk, we don't have sex, it feels like he is so interested in himself but can't even do the smallest thing I like. I listening to him talk all day every day about his hobby but I can't even get his interest to chat about things I like, if I ask a question to try and get a conversation going he just says 'I don't know'

I can't talk to him, he just gets angry.

Is this it? I can't see him changing.

Might be worth you two reading some John Gottman books:

It's difficult. I'm going through a similar scenario after 20 yrs and it hurts.
Do you have any shared interests or hobbies? Maybe try to do something together. Do you go out together? Schedule some date nights and take turns choosing where to go.
Maybe he is just taking you for granted.

What is he interested in? What are you interested in? What are you trying to talk to one another about?

Thanks for the responses guys, things came to a head Saturday and he's gone to stay with his mum for a few days to get some space.

I think he is unhappy in himself, which in turn means he is lashing out at me. He won't get help and has refused marriage counselling.

Hopefully the space will help you both. x

I hope you get things sorted out. Sounds like he could be depressed
