Hi all,

What items should my Mum get from the house before leaving her husband? He controls her money, controls everything in the house as she has let him do this. She now is wanting to leave and i've told her to stay put until she gets some stuff sorted.

What does she need?

Mortgage docs.
Account info
Savings info
Pensions info
His wage info
Marriage cert (will be needed for divorce)
Passport
Birth certificates
Asset info, i.e. ISA's, cars, other properties, etc...
She needs to set up her own account asap and get as much money transferred over as possible.
Are bank accounts in joint names?
Is mortgage in joint names?
