How do you define serial cheating?

Just curious.

FWIW I think it means more than one episode of cheating. Or maybe 3 or more. And cheating to me means betraying your primary relationship to pursue romance elsewhere.

I read an article online that said serial cheating has to be a pattern of deliberately finding love and that 'Whoops! I fell on your crotch' doesn't count because the person was in some sort of stupor and didn't realise they were executing a pattern (serial) until it was too late. Anyway, it annoyed me and I wanted to know what you all thought.

I would define it as cheating (having sexual contact with or even emotional contact with) more than one person. So, repeated one night stands, using sex workers, having affairs or emotional affairs.

Well a serial killer is defined by killing 3 or more people on separate occasions. So if you applied 'serial' in the same way, it would be cheating in 3 separate occasions.

The article you mentioned just seemed to be someone justifying cheating and explaining why it's not their fault. So total bullshit

I agree, that article is clearly written by a serial cheat who is trying to minimise!
