Men confuse me??

Could say I'm a bit clueless when It comes to men and dating 😂
Anyway I'm on an OLD site (tinder) and came across a guy I know and had previously messaged a few months ago.
The background is that we kept matching on tinder we spoke for a bit and then it would go quiet this happened a few times. I finally plucked up courage to ask him on a date. We agreed a activity type date. It got to 2 days before and he went quiet not replying to my texts. So I messaged him saying he was rude and then blocked his number. Haven't spoke to him since.
So I came across him on tinder and curiously wondered if he had swiped me. Turns out he has.
Now I'm confused!! Why has he swiped me after I called him rude and blocked him. My DM thinks I should give him a chance and there could have been a reason for him but replying. In not so sure.
What do you ladies on MN think? 2nd chance to hear him out or not?

I wonder what the point of OLd is too. I can swipe right endlessly and get 0 matches.
I can be in POF and send 100 messages, get 3 replies.
Even bumble...

I may, of course, just be an ugly SOB or that's just how it is for guys.

Don't pursue men. I know that's anti feminist and all, but in my experience, men will go along with a woman if she offers, even if their feelings are ambivalent. If a man is really interested, he'll make a move.

If you're trying to find something meaningful and thinking this bloke is going to provide it then experience would suggest you are likely to be disappointed . Why not just keep going on tinder until you find someone more reliable who doesn't mess you around or blow you out. The right guy will be keen and show it. That is not what this one is doing.

If it's just a numbers game to men then what is the point in tinder if I'm trying to find something meaningful! This is very painful and time consuming

Maybe Tinder isn't the right site for you? I tried it but didn't like it. The instant nature of the app means nobody really has to put in any effort, which results in a lot of half-arsed conversations and vague agreements to meet up, which culminate in nothing.

I found OKCupid much better, perhaps because I answered a LOT of the personality/opinion questions so I could be sure I was only meeting people whose ethical and political viewpoints were at least loosely aligned to my own.

I've signed up to match. Would anyone say that's any good?
