Ex husband of two years rings me up and says he has made a terrible mistake and wants to come home.
Decree absolute is just about to drop through the door.
In the two years it has taken to get this divorce which he petitioned for I have been to hell and back, death of my pets, ill health, job loss due to ill health and surgeries, financial troubles and massive stress due to the divorce.
And he thinks he can just swan back in like nothing happened. WTF?
Exciting new life didn't work out - maybe the wife isn't so boring after all.
I said no. i think I was quite controlled even though I wanted to throw things at the nerve of it.
Do men think they can just turn someones life upside down and inside out and then think they can just come back as if nothing happened? I am fuming. Had to let off steam on here.

After two years? Wow.

I have read a few threads on here and talked to people in real life and yes it does happen. How did he leave?

"Do men think they can just turn someones life upside down"???

Ummm yes they do...

My husband - many years ago now, had come to see the children having left me...for more exciting totty. He casually asked if I would have him back if he wanted to come back. I said why do you want to come back then? His reply...Oh well I haven't really "finished" with Totty yet!! Wtf! What he actually meant was she was still quite alot of fun and he would like more time...my answer NO not a chance!

I think in your case..."Totty" had become boring and he has discovered she can't cook. Serve him right.

As to having him back, nobody can tell anyone else what to do BUT I think it would require a very good thesis on how wrong he has been possibly written in blood to even think about it....

Guiltypleasures001 · 20/08/2018 22:26

In blood would be the bare minimum I think

NadiaLeon · 20/08/2018 22:30

If you want him back, then say Yes.
Don't let pride stop you.

MaryandMichael · 20/08/2018 22:32

Mine tried that. I wouldn't have him because we would both have been looking for something better.
