Surrogate Grandma

Hi. I am a 57 year old, lively lady with one grandson aged 7. I really miss him as he lives 6 hours away from me and I only see him every couple of months. I would love to match up with someone in my area (near Minehead in Somerset) who does not have a grandparent for their family and would like a surrogate one! I work in care, so I have an advanced crb clearance certificate.

Have you thought of going on gum tree and childcare UK and looking for babysitting jobs local.

Thank you for your kind comments 🙂 I have been thinking of doing this for ages, but I thought it might look a bit strange! So many people seem to be disconnected from their families these days, I decided it would be worth a try.

If you post this in AIBU far more people will see it and you might be able to be matched up! I have an 11 month old without any grandparents and wish we were closer to you!

Hi 30hours. If you would like me to be a long distance grandma, I would be happy to do that. I am on Whatsapp and email, plus I like making things so I could send you some homemade gifts at Christmas and birthday for your baby 🙂
