Finding someone when you have issues?!

I don't know if I should just accept I won't

OCD
Previous DV relationship
Child with behaviour problems undiagnosed
Overweight

Probably tons more. Some of these things just aren't going to go away though so as much as loving myself first etc sounds good in theory... is there realistically any hope to find someone who'd take it all on anyway??

Everyone has baggage. Best to value yourself higher than to concentrate on what you think your issues are, otherwise you're likely to attract wankers and accept a shitty relationship.

Have you done the freedom programme, following the abusive relationship?

Yes thanks but could probably do with doing it again

It's true that everyone has baggage. And the older we get the more we potentially have. Focus on your good qualities - I'm sure you have many Thanks

Hi, I came into my relationship shedding tons of baggage, and my man was attracted to my indapendence, beauty, and moxy. When he learned I had a seriouse mental disorder, he never judged- just supported me. I can't find a job and it's frustrating me, he offered to help get me a job through his contacts. I have some health issues derrived out of trauma, but I want to work. I'm interested in letting him help, but he's busy with work, rent, bills, a past stroke: any suggestions on how or if I persue getting his help? My attempts, even Department of Assistive Rehabilatative's attempts have been unprofitable plus they are super slow. I have a home office to work out of....
