Navy Wag... Ist deployment as a couple

Hi everyone, my df has been deployed for 3 months with zero contact ( submariner) which has been pretty 💩. He’s due Home very soon but I have no idea when exactly. My nerves are on edge! And my emotions all over the place... would be great to talk to others in same situation!

not the same position buy when I met my partner he was in the army. I found the website ebluey had a chat thing on it which enabled me to speak to people in the same situation. not sure if the website is still up but worth looking on. the chat is very slow so we exchanged emails (just be careful what info you give out as not everyone will be legit). I'm happy to chat but someone in the same position as you now may be a better support

Aww thank you for the reply... I don’t live on base so I don’t have any military friends, so really appreciate any connections!
It’s worse because it’s total silence and I haven’t spoken to him since beginning of May .

My best friend’s DH is a submariner and spent most of last year deployed, they don’t have kids together.

She’s been with him about 10 years so she’s used to it now and just enjoys her time on her own, socialising and having everything how she wants it, they both find it quite difficult when he’s home now, ironically.

What I will say is, don’t get your hopes up with when he might be home, my best friends DH deployment got extended at least twice every time, usually by 1-2 weeks but I can’t remember a time he came home when he was expected.
