Just read in paper, Katie Price's estranged husband has found a new love, "who bears a striking resemblance to Katie". My question is, people who find new loves who look like their ex, is it because, they liked the look of ex, but not their personality, and the new love has both?

my ex cheated on me and when i saw a picture of her she looked like a younger fatter version of me, same hair style, same colour hair, just 10 years younger than me and a size 14 instead of the 10 that i am, and funnily enough he had a picture of an ex from when he was a teen and she looked almost exactly like i did at the same age, so he obviously has a type of woman that appeals to him , he just cant stay faithful, as he cheated on number 1, number 2 the mom of his kids, me and ive heard number 3 too , just one of those people who no matter what hes got the grass seems greener on the other side

isseywithcats Unfortunately, it seems to happen all too frequently, leaving a lot of broken hearts, and families in it's wake.

I think it's to do with imprinting isn't it?

For people have a physical type, it is ingrained in them for reasons outside of their control - like how their mother looked (can be + or - depending on relationship) or how their first crush or teacher looked.

People also are often attracted to people who look like them - a sense of familiarity and approving of what you look like - even if it isn't super obvious it can be in things like how close your eyes are together, how wide your nose is that kind of thing.

So it's very common for men and women to have a similar type they find attractive.

KP could stick to horses instead (she is a good horse rider) - equines don't lie to you and are much more fun 24/7 Grin

I think people just have a type they are attracted to and the new shiny version of that is always appealing. After my parents got divorced, my dad started dating a woman who looked like she could have been my mum’s sister. I suspect he liked that look but it was easier with this shiny new version who had no kids and didn’t yet know what a dickhead he was.

but he HASN'T chosen someone who looks like KP..... Hmm

My ex's new woman couldn't look any more different than me. However, they do look alike! My new partner's ex and I look very alike actually. She could be my younger sister. Younger, skinnier sister Grin- lucky he likes his women curvy!
