Saw this guy 4 times. Lovely guy but very physical from the beginning lots of kissing etc. 4th occasion he came to mine and we DTD. We were due to meet the next evening and I texted him at 4pm asking where we were to meet. Then again at 7pm. 7.20pm he texted back cancelling, needed space we were moving very fast would call me the next day "it's not the end"

Next day by 10pm he hadn't phoned. This is where I went wrong. Started bombarding him with texts and FB messages (he works evenings but is the boss) could see he's been on line. Now nothing.
Now gutted as I really liked him and we got on very well on our dates.

Come on and tell me it's not all my fault.

Sounds like a lucky escape there! I wouldn't worry about the excessive contact; as sensitively as I can say this, he is obviously just out for dtd and not a relationship and this wouldn't have changed whether you sent one message or 100.

Keep your chin up, forget him and move on. Onwards and upwards poppet!! Thanks

You didn't mess up, he did. Move on, find a decent guy.

Dodged a bullet there. But I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in touch after a couple of weeks of radio silence saying he was 'scared'

NorthernSpirit · 14/07/2018 19:53

You weren’t wrong in texting him initially (especially if you had arranged to meet up). For him to cancel at 7:20pm is bang out of order.

But to then bombard him with text and FB messages (when he’s at work) is wrong IMO. Makes you look desperate. One message is fine. If he doesn’t respond, his loss.

Musicaltheatremum · 14/07/2018 22:30

Yes bombarding him with messages was wrong. But he works every evening and was on other forms of social media. Yes it did make me look desparate. Ugh such an idiot

No you haven’t done anything wrong, outcome would have been the same whatever you’d done. Basically he’s a wrongun.

He was just after sex, you were needy. Meh, move on.
