Dealing with a separation although see each other regularly

Me and my partner have come to a point where as much as we love each other I feel it’s best not to be with him as he has done me wrong in numerous ways.

We have 2 children together and I would never want to stop them from seeing him and hate that he’s not around due to me telling him to leave and stay at his sisters down the road. And so I agreed to let him come in the afternoon up until he puts the kids to bed then he leaves.

I’m finding it so hard to really move on from him as I see him all the time, we’re on good terms however my mood is up and down and I’m still angry at him I have told him we are separated and until we sit down and talk about a few things in particular and I get the truth about things I can’t move forward or consider getting back together. However my gut just says this relationship is done as I don’t believe I will ever be able to move on from what’s happened and so it’s not going to make me happy.

Just looking for some advice on how I can really stick to my guns and not act like we’re still together but living apart as when he sees the kids and I’m in a good mood everything just seems normal I’m just finishing it really hard to move on as sometimes I feel like I want to make it work as we’re so good when I’m not thinking about everything but when I am there’s no chance. And logically I know I need to move on. I’m just so confused atm as you can probably tell from this looong waffling on post lol.

It’s also hard as I live in a different city to my family and friends thy visit once a week and my 2 little ones are 1yr and 7weeks old so I haven’t got much to distract me
