Emails in from women in spam folder

Just wondering what your views are in this .
My husband and I have been together for 17 years married for 11 years.

Today my dd needed to change a password on her computer and the password recovery setting was to my husband's email address. I know my husband's password as he uses the same password for everything and as I couldn't get hold of him to find out what the code was to type in to change the password. I signed in to his account on my phone and delete I'm going to delete it once her password was sorted out.
Anyways I'm a nosy cow and ended up in his spam emails and there was messages from women etc but they were in the spam and weren't replied to.

I know he did used to watch alot of porn and maybe these are linked to some sites he has been on in the past even though these spam emails were recent.
They are probably sent automatically.

But I thought well I might have something like that in my spam folder and not known but I've been through mine and there are no spam emails like women or men trying to get in touch with me or meet me etc mine are just cooking, education and psychic readings.

So from this I am taking it he has signed up somewhere on a porn site or dating site and he's getting these from them because he has put his details in somewhere.

One of the sites that was there was one called meet me. I don't know the others.

I know there is nothing I can do and if I ask him he will just say it's from other sites but not the ones I'm thinking of.

Just feeling a bit blah as if he was on these meet me things. Why would he do that?

Well what sort of emails are they? Are they general ‘hot Russian singles’ or are they from actual people?
I don’t go on porn stuff but occasionally get some spammy porn emails to my junk.

Lalameme · 07/07/2018 12:52

I bet spam emails from ‘ women’ wanting to meet me for sex and I’ve never gone on porn or dating sites
If the emails aren’t personal it’s spam from any website he’s registered with

bruffin · 07/07/2018 12:56

I get loads of these in my spam as well, never signed up to any dating or porn sites.

Guardsman18 · 07/07/2018 12:57

Please don't worry. I get spam emails from Asian, Russian, straight, lesbian - you name it. I have never, ever looked at anything that would invite these emails.

If you want to pm me your email address, I will forward some on to you if it'll help put your mind at rest!

Zaphodsotherhead · 07/07/2018 13:01

Yeah, I get these too. I bet they've been caught in the spam filter and gone straight in there, he probably hasn't even seen them - how often do you check your spam inbox?

I'm a straight female but I get the 'want to meet?' emails from hot young sexy chicks (allegedly, in actuality an overweight sweaty guy somewhere in Russia).

Bakingberry · 07/07/2018 13:01

I wouldn't worry OP. They sound like generic spam emails that are sent automatically. They look like they are from women and they just want men to sign up to porn sites.

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 07/07/2018 13:03

Were they opened or marked as unread?

JK1773 · 07/07/2018 13:04

I get spam emails from women suggesting alsorts. I’m a woman and I’ve never accessed poem etc. I wouldn’t worry about it

JK1773 · 07/07/2018 13:04
  • porn 🙄
LaMainDeFatima · 07/07/2018 13:06

He probably signed up to something legit & they sold on his email address to someone less legit

I get them all the time and I’ve never been on a porn site

He’s saved for another day

lacoba66 · 07/07/2018 13:07

guardsman18 - interesting offer... you want to spam someone’s else’s email Confused

HarmlessChap · 07/07/2018 13:24

My business email gets dozens of these, they are all a scam of some kind. I assumed the email address was harvested from the website or various online directories and ended up on some list(s).

When you put your email address in somewhere you never know where it will end up, sometimes sites sell them on sometimes they get hacked and the data taken.

Toodamnhot · 07/07/2018 13:53

I get these and sometimes I have to look twice as they sound as if they are from someone you know eg why didn’t you turn up? Stop sending me your photos, thanks for the other night etc Confused
