My husband is ill and I am trying to think of what practical things I need to consider and sort if he checks out on me. Any advice?

Legal stuff like wills, insurance, bank accounts.

Passwords for online stuff.

Make a list of people you need to contact if the worst happens. Just do one person from each group ( family, colleagues ) and ask them to tell others

Would he be able / willing to discuss funeral arrangements ?

Sorry you are having to face this. Do you have friends and family support ?

Have you asked about having carers in? If he has cancer then Marie curie can arrange for a nurse to sit with him

Just to agree with Violet and to say that altho' this Age UK overview assumes the death has happened, it's a decent guide to what you would need in that eventuality. Likewise the Money Advice Service Guide

I'm sorry that you're dealing with this.
