didn't want to hug me during my period because that would turn him on and he knows he can't have me?

I know his intentions are good, that he doesn't want to pester me while I'm on my period, but it still made me that in his mind physical contact should lead to something more.

HMD, re 21:25:46; I wouldn;t worry really. Men just have different ways of expressing emotion and intimacy than women. It doesn't 'mean' anything, really. Tell him you like a hug now and again though and tell him to get stuffed if you cant be arsed - really, you sound sorted.

It was the other way round in my house. Bizarrely my sex drive always went through the roof when I'd got my period and dh had to fight me off

Personally I prefer not to because it's messy.. and because you can't do all the "usual stuff" because of that! That's just my opinion though. I am not suggesting it's shouldn't be done.
