We are skint yet he is still insisting i go for a back, neck and shoulder massage AND get my hair done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know how long it has been since i had my hair done in a hairdressers? september last year! Last time i had a massage (only had 1 in my whole life btw) was for my birthday last december.

I've been very stressed lately and I do need to be spoiled but isn't my DP fab?

What has your dp/ dh done for you lately?

LoveMyGirls - I totally understand what you are saying - as I was writing I felt I couldn't quite explain properly (and feared I'd attract the attention of Xenia for it!)

DH is v generous all the time - he is thrilled I have finally broken free of the career I hated and wants me to be happy, even if it means our joint income takes a dive. This is at the top of my mind at the moment as it's all happening now - it certainly isn't the only reason he is just the most wonderful DH. He cooks the most fab meals, irons better than I do, takes responsibility for teh housework as much as I do and and is generally an angel who cares for me and looks after me, even when I am being rubbish and grumpy.

Eg. last night I broke a tooth and he was all for calling out some sort of emergency dentist, even scurrying off to the internet to see if such a thing existed! (Ok he's a bit of a twerp sometimes, but I love him for showing such concern). Then he shooed me out of the kitchen and made me sit down and "recover" from broken tooth (which did't hurt at all) while he finished tea and brought it to me, then cleared up afterwards. Bless.

ps. am particularly aware of how lucky I am as my sister's DH has never in ten years even said she looks nice, let alone sharing his vast income with her or taking any responsibility for the housework.

I'm glad we all have such lovely DHs on this thread - we're lucky girls. It's nice to be treasured.

He came home from work and put the possum that had dropped out of the tree, dead on the drive in the bin!

My DH has taken on most of the cleaning chores since I found out that I was expecting. He does all of the vacuming and dusting. He does some of the cooking and walks the dogs on his own as I get so tired so easily.

I am a very luck wife.

just the thread to ease my guilt about the not so complimenrty thread i just started about dh!

my dh is the best because he tells me all the time, very sincerely, how amazing i am!!!

i came back from college last night with a thumping headache and was a total cow to dh, the house was spotless and the girls were bathed and in bed but i was still a total sarky bitch to him.

so what did he do?

he went upstairs and ran me a bath with candles all around it and my new book lying on the side

i really am so lucky to have him

Since DD (21 weeks) has been born lovely DH has taken DS to school, allowing me to stay in bed with dd , worth its weight in gold, that is.

mandymac · 24/05/2007 22:01

My DH bought me an incredibly extravagent gift for my 40th (Diamond Earings ). He has also just looked after DD for 6 nights when I had to go to a conference (ok so he did go to his parents with her for 4 of those 6, but still pretty impressive). He cooks most nights too.

I am soooooo lucky!

kittylette · 24/05/2007 22:08

He comes in from work and does the pots then plays with the DS's for ages.

He puts them to bed so I can have a bath,

Hes very loving and considerate in many, many ways
