Hi all,

Me and my ex got into a big argument 2 weeks ago I wont go into it as long story.. he hasn't seen his son in couple weeks, a few days ago i received a letter inviting me to attend mediation as my ex has booked an appointment for MIAM, as I want to sort out communication and come up with an agreement I willingly booked an appointment for mediating on 3rd July as I really do want to sort it and for him to maintain a relationship with his son, today i received a solictors letter stating that my ex is willing to sort out an agreement via mediation and asking me to book mediation (which I already have) it also says he still wants to maintain contact in the meantime before mediation for a couple days a week Wednesday and Thursday, but I know my exs Rota and he doesn't have those days off so it be left to his mother looking after my son and my ex coming back on evening to see him, I strongly believe that my ex needs to be there at all times with his son and not just leave it for the grandparents to look after him, as my son needs his dad more, anyways i really want to sort this out through mediation and then once we have agreed he can then see his son, as I dont feel comfortable leaving my son in the care of my exs parents and they verbally assaulted me in front of my son, do you think I should ignore the solicitors letter and wait till mediation to sort this?
