I'm not sure if this is the place but I am so proud of my DP. He has overcome so much, eyesight and developmental delays at school (his parents were told at the end of primary school not to expect anything of him), he graduated with a Phd 5 years ago, he's overcome issues with his Aspergers and his research that he's spent ten years working on is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Been together 13 years. It's been hard due to my illness etc. But he's fantastic. I'm so proud of him.

Here's to all the amazing partner's out there!

What a lovely thread. That's remarkable. Well done to him. Nice to see a positive thread. I love hearing positive stories about Aspies. It's close to my heart and I think it can be a blessing not a curse. I know there's few NT in our family and I wouldn't have it any other way. Grin

Thanks @Damson. I get so tired of hearing just negative things about Aspies. Don't get me wrong, we've been (and partially still) going through hard times because of a car accident but I wouldn't change him for anything. :)
