What are the signs that I’m being catfished? Been talking to this gorgeous guy from Tinder on whatsapp, he hides his time stamp and he isn’t linked to IG, FB or snapchat.

I'm not on IG, Facebook and wasn't on Snapchat until recently so that's not a sign in itself. Can you do that reverse image search thing to one of his pics?

FaceTime. If he won’t FaceTime you should be worried.

Yeah reverse image search and ask him to Skype you or FaceTime.

I use Tineye. Really easy to use.
Although he says he doesn’t use any social media have you actually checked? I’ve caught a few that way.
Another way is to look at the entire conversation subjectively from the moment you matched on Tinder. Who initiated everything. Is he telling you what u want to hear. Is he eager to exchange erm photos.
The hiding time stamp isn’t an issue. I have quiet a few people who do that, as do I. We are all legit.
Tell him you want to put a voice to the pictures and suggest a quick video call. But even if he’s legit he might still say no. I won’t do calls anymore.

I started chatting to a guy on tinder, looked too good to be true. I reverse google imaged his picture and he wasn't who he said he was but a model called Wyatt. (not Pedro ;) .

Its easy to do, screen shot his picture then type reverse google images and upload. It doesn't always bring up matches, but it is worth doing. Some people don't have social media, some people hide their presence as they have something to hide.

He sent me a recording of himself this morning and he didn’t sound like his pictures (if that makes sense?) which is when I thought ‘am i being catfished?’

Don't take a screenshot. Is there a way of saving the original picture from his profile? Reverse image searches don't look at the content of the picture, they look at the file

Ask him to FaceTime. That's the only real way of knowing for sure without meeting.
If he makes excuses I would bin him off.

It’s weird but it’s not. Great guy did that. He was just shy. We arranged to meet for a coffee and all was fine. We’ve become good friends.

Bizarre locations. Wanting you to go to his house at weird times. Or him to you. Well in general weird times. Really lay on the compliments.
There’s an insane amount of shared interests.
Asking you questions but vague about themselves.
Their lifestyle seems to be wow. All these great things they’ve done. Really well travelled.
Pushing the relationship forward in addition to the compliments gushing how much they care and respect you.
Work overseas is another one to look for.

Oh and this one seems daft. Look at the number. There’s a French person who pretends To be in the UK. There’s a very plausible reason for this number and only adds to the back story.
This one has catfished both sexes.

I screen shotted from tinder and it worked, not always but it does work sometimes. Try it.

Yea I’ve screenshotted as well and it’s worked.

I’m a prolific tinder user, and even though we don’t connect attraction wise we still chat on sm, share the wtf moments and how we are all doing etc. it’s helped a lot in finding the fakes like the French number and a few other ones.

Of course we still get caught out, these people are basically confidence tricksters. Just laugh it off and put it down to experience. And

Oh Christ this reminds me of the time a really hot guy added me on Instagram, now I mean like model material, I was delighted with myself, thought ooohhh I still have it, then I got added on snap chat and he sent me a msg asking to send a pic of myself ?! Ffs. I said oh send me one first and he sent me the creepiest snap of obvious creep with gorgeous models face , faceswapped ( you know the snapchat filter you can use) onto his head. I nearly wet myself. Shoulda known some hot 20 something would be adding a married women lol

Take some key phrases that he has written to you and google them. Like the lovey dovey stuff.

Make sure your put “” on either side so google looks for that specific phrase.

Many use the same phrases and they have been published by other victims or they get it from websites that give you ideas.

Profiles - look for beach, police car and lsd. Forgot about that one.

Tell him want to facetime tonight at a set time and if he refuses - then RUN - far and fast.
