Desperately wanting a baby

I am 38 in a week. I do have children but both are adults.

I think when they were younger I always somehow thought I’d get to experience having a baby “properly” (as an adult) and now accepting this may never happen is tough Sad

Obviously I’m grateful for the lovely children I have, but it just makes me sad as well. I don’t know if anyone can appreciate what I mean!

I had my first and I was quite immature and didn’t know what I was doing half the time.
On my fourth now and in my 40’s and still feel like I’m not doing parenting properly. Lol

Sorry you’re feeling desperate for a baby OP Flowers

Is anything stopping you from doing this?

Thanks tinkerbelle Smile

I don’t know if any of us know what we’re doing but it would be nice to experience it ‘properly’ I suppose Smile

Ahh, life can change quickly though.. it has for me.. I'm a similar age and my grown up kids are getting a little sister soon...

It's not too late x

Well, I hope not but it’s unlikely I think. Not impossible but unlikely.

Well I had my 4th at 40 and the last three was more firefighting than anything! I think we're all sold this image of relaxed parenthood which I think is very rare!

Yes I agree.

On the other hand, being legally an adult when pregnant, having my own home, not hiding a bump under a school skirt, would be good Grin
