I am happily married, good sex life, we get on well and have children together.

We have been having extensive work done to the property for the last few months which I’ve been here everyday - one of the guys has taken a shine to me and really boosts my self esteem in normal ways by saying I’m good at things and that I’m clever and kind etc. He also does a bit of flirty banter.

He’s always been friendly since day one, but now I can’t stop thinking about him
And had a dream about him last night.

I feel dirty almost for thinking about him when I’m happily married and I don’t know how to change it.

You're enjoying a bit of attention that's all. Maybe developing a bit of a crush in response. They say on here to imagine him sitting on the toilet having a poo or picking up his dirty underwear etc. Don't think too much about it and it'll go away.

It's nice to have a boost. Does your DH not say nice things much to you? Maybe you could instigate some flirtation with DH inspired by this.

The workman probably flirts with most women. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

Let it go. You have what need

How would he know what you're good at or whether you're a kind person? he sounds a bit thick.

Chippyway · 17/05/2018 23:47

ford what on Earth?! How does he sound thick?! You’ve got a serious bee in your bonnet about men! Only on mumsnet can a man be called ‘thick’ for telling a woman she’s good at something.

You’ve obviously forgotten the part where he’s at her house every working day whilst she’s there as well. Some women actually give men the time of day and can have a friendly conversation - maybe that’s how he’s learnt about her!!

Jesus Christ Hmm

OP it just sounds like a harmless crush. Enjoy the friendly chat but as a PP has said, just imagine him taking a shit and picking his nose. If it gets too much make yourself busy when he’s over.
