Tell me I'm overreacting and sorry for tmi. I'm 12 weeks pregnant(a happy accident) by my fiance. Last night we had sex and as he climaxed he said 'I'm so glad I got you pregnant'. This morning I asked him what that was about and he said he couldn't remember saying it. Tell me this is a bit weird

Well you sound happy to be pregnant, I guess he is happy too. It's not because you no longer need to take precautions presumably?

RioTheParrott · 16/05/2018 18:26

I just found it a bit weird that he said it Confused

Are you sure he isn't just reacting emotionally? I get a bit like that when I'm orgasming - 'I love you do much' etc. I don't really think about it, it just comes out? A baby is kind of a symbol of your love really?

Maybe he's got his head around the reality of the situation and is now imagining what it's like to have his own baby, I don't think it's anything to worry about. If anything I would be pleased he said it.

I think it's because my ex who is biological father to DS was such a horror it's odd to hear something positive

Is it normal to struggle when people are nice to you?!? My ex enjoyed telling me having a kid had ruined my looks and that no one would want me. I find it difficult to. believe my fiance when he tells me I'm gorgeous

I don't see anything to overreact about to be honest.

Passw0rd01 · 16/05/2018 20:48

I wouldn't worry about it. From a males point of view we don't think as much as we should before we speak! Esp during and around sex! All those hormones ey! Congratulations on having a baby!

RioTheParrott · 16/05/2018 22:54

we laughed about it tonight even though he can't remember saying it! He thinks he was overcome with emotion lol

Forget about your ex. Let yourself be happy, he sounds lovey. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

He's pleased his sperm did the job, that's all I think!

villageshop · 17/05/2018 00:27

I agree with undercoveragent. He was feeling all manly and loving and just dead chuffed he got you pregnant. Congratulations.
