Have name changed. So, am 49, single parent with a 7yr old and 16 Yr old. I work part time and look after my mum who has dementia, my sister also looks after her so not doing it on my own. Been single for a few years now, most of the time am perfectly okay with it but sometimes I do think it would be nice to have someone just for me. However, I honestly don't think I will be able to find the energy, with my kids, my mum and job there is NOTHING left, I'm permanently exhausted despite sleeping well and eating well. How do others manage please?

Hiya I'm not in your situation and don't have any great ideas but didn't want your thread to go unanswered.... Is there any chance of socialising with work? Can the 16 year old look after your youngest to give you a night out? X

You probably don't need any further complications in your life. Relationships rarely go smoothly. Maybe just enjoy the company of friends?
