I’m 40s with one older child and having been single for some time, thought I would consider dating again.
There is no -one in my current social circle (work, gym, friends) who is both single and attractive so I’m going to have to think of ways to meet new people. I’m quite happy with my social life the way it is (I.e not wanting to do a new course or join new gym to meet new people).
I have tried on line dating but on the whole find it terrible. I do have two friends who actually found their partners online but one went on 200 dates over 3 years before finding the right one, the other maybe 40 dates but she was younger and enjoyed the fun of the the dates that didn’t go anywhere. I’m also wary about the lies guys tell on line - from what I hear so many of them are in relationships already and just looking for ego boost / bit on side.
Anyway, I’ve come across some dating agencies in my area, they are obviously more expensive than on line dating but affordable. I have no idea if these are a good way to meet people and would like to hear others experience?
